Requirements for Becoming an OYAK Member
Under the provisions of Law No. 205 on the Ordu Yardımlaşma Kurumu (OYAK), all active-duty commissioned officers, contracted officers, military civil servants, active-duty non-commissioned officers, contracted non-commissioned officers, and gendarmerie officers serving in the Turkish Armed Forces constitute OYAK’s compulsory permanent members, while specialized sergeants and employees of the Ministry of National Defense, the Gendarmerie General Command, and the Coast Guard Command, as well as those working for OYAK and companies in which OYAK holds more than 50% of the capital, may become OYAK’s voluntary permanent members.
How Do We Process Membership Procedures?
We complete the membership procedures of our commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers based on the information provided by the relevant Personnel Directorates of the Armed Forces. Civil servants, specialized sergeants, and OYAK/affiliate company employees are required to fully complete the “OYAK Membership Application Form” available in the “Application Forms” section, obtain the approval of their respective unit or organization, and submit it to us. Your membership rights commence upon receipt of your first contribution payment.
What to Consider When Filling Out the Application Form?
It is essential that the completed form is the latest “OYAK Membership Application Form” consisting of 10 sections.
The “Member Information Notice on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data” on the first page of the form must be signed.
The form must be signed under the “Remarks” section to confirm that all sections of the form, particularly Article 9, have been carefully read and accepted.
The forms to be submitted by our specialized sergeants must be completed in the “APPROVAL INFORMATION” section by including the signature, first name, last name, registration number, and rank/title of a unit commander, whether an officer or non-commissioned officer, with whom they serve.
The forms to be submitted by civil servants must be completed in the “APPROVAL INFORMATION” section by including the signature, first name, last name, registration number, and rank/title information of a unit supervisor of officer or non-commissioned officer rank with whom they serve. In addition, the forms must also be approved by the relevant Personnel Directorates of the Armed Forces, the Director General of Personnel, or the Human Resources Director, and then submitted to us.
